Read touching stories below about special friends whose wishes have come true, thanks to the donation of a service animal.
Callie Meets Dolly's Star
On Friday October 2, 2022, Paws For Life USA, along with Heaven on Earth Goldendoodles presented Callie Truelove with her new service dog in training, her name is Dolly’s Star. Dolly’s Star was donated by Heaven on Earth Goldendoodles and Paws For Life USA (who trained Callie’s first dog Doodle Dandy) is donating their service dog training for Callie’s new puppy.
Doodle Dandy happens to be the great uncle of Dolly’s Star, so we are keeping the family together. Sadly, Doodle Dandy passed away from cancer earlier this year. We are all truly heartbroken as he was an exceptional dog. Doodle Dandy had been a Make A Wish for Callie over five years ago.
As with any dog that Paws For Life USA places, their trainers are with the family and the dog for life. We were all so saddened about Callie’s loss we had to help somehow to make a wish for her come true again! If you want to know more about Callie and her story, you can check out their Facebook page “A Look into Callie’s Heart.”
Bristol Meets New Service Puppy
Kimberly Brenowitz had another amazing experience granting a wish to a little girl named Bristol. Little Bristol has a nervous system disorder. Kimberly presented an eight-week-old Great Pyrenees/Poodle combo puppy to Bristol and her family. The puppy will be trained in special tasks that will help little Bristol gain independence and keep her safe as she grows up living with a nervous system disorder.
Bryan receives Rebel, who will be trained to help him with tasks specific to his disabilities.
Brody meets Pepe, his new service dog who will provide assistance he needs.
